Tributes have been paid to a pastor and two of his kids who drowned throughout a vacation within the Costa del Sol, as a household lawyer mentioned a secondary investigation needs to be opened if their reason for demise shouldn’t be clear.

Gabriel Diya, 52, his daughter Consolation, 9, and son Reward-Emmanuel, 16, died on Christmas Eve on the Membership La Costa World in Fuengirola, Spain.

On Saturday, lawyer Javier Toro appearing for the household informed reporters: “It is not regular and really bizarre that three folks died within the centre of a pool.

“The household shouldn’t be happy with the interpretation of it being a easy accident.”

Mr Toro added that in statements made to the Guardia Civil, the lady’s mom Olubunmi Diya had “by no means mentioned that not one of the three deceased did not know swim”, opposite to some stories.

Pastor Agu Irukwu, of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, described Mr Diya as a “loving husband and devoted father”, a “humble, pleasant and a dedicated pastor and Christian chief” to his congregation in Charlton, southeast London.

The headteacher at Consolation’s major faculty remembered her as “probably the most splendidly type, considerate, caring pupil” who was a “position mannequin for all her friends”.

Jo Marchant, government headteacher at Windrush Charlton major faculty, mentioned the little lady can be “tremendously missed by the entire faculty neighborhood, adults and youngsters alike”.

She added that the “extraordinarily distressing information” had “devastated” everybody on the faculty, and help can be supplied for pupils or mother and father who wanted it.
