Patrick Ewing says he has examined optimistic for COVID-19 … and he is sharing his analysis in hopes of convincing individuals the “virus is serious and should not be taken lightly.”
The New York Knicks legend and Georgetown University males’s basketball coach introduced his analysis Friday afternoon, and GU says he’s below care and in isolation at a hospital close to the college’s campus in Washington D.C.
Patrick says, “I want to share that I have tested positive for COVID-19. This virus is serious and should not be taken lightly. I want to encourage everyone to stay safe and take care of yourselves and your loved ones.”
The NBA Hall of Famer provides … “I want to thank the healthcare workers and everyone on the front lines. I’ll be fine and we will all get through this.”
Patrick, who starred for the Knicks for 15 seasons from 1985-2000, has been teaching his alma mater since 2017 … and Georgetown says he’s the one member of the boys’s basketball program to check optimistic for COVID-19.
